SBI Mobile Banking Activation Procedure


SMS Based
 

  • Getting User ID - Send SMS " MBSREG " to
    9223440000 .  You will get a User ID and default MPIN 

     
  • Change MPIN – It is mandatory for the
     customer to change the MPIN. "Smpin UserId Old Mpin New Mpin "Send following  SMS to 9223440000

     
  • Register at ATM - You will be required to  register for the service on ATM or at your Branch. Please ensure that you have  changed your MPIN before registering at the ATM. Go to ATM and after swiping your Debit Card choose Mobile Registration–Enter your ATM PIN- Mobile Banking – Registration – Enter your mobile number.- Choose yes after ensuring the correctness of the entry- Then the Mobile Number entered  by you is displayed- Choose Confirm. You will get a SMS regarding successful
    registration. 


     
  • To Get MMID for your Account. Send " MMID SBI"    to 9223440000  


     
  • Balance Enquiry    Send following SMS to  9223440000 "Sbal UserId Mpin"


     
  •  Mini statement  Send following SMS to  9223440000"Smin UserId Mpin"  

                                                               
  • Fund Transfer through IMPS  ( Click to Know more about IMPS )


    Based  on Beneficiary’s Mobile number and MMID (Mobile Money ID) .

    For making a funds  Transfer, send following SMS to 9223440000: " IMPS Mobile No MMID amount User   ID MPIN   Purpose(optional field- up to 20 char-Alpha numeric)" .


    Ex. "  IMPS  9245807077 9226589 5000 jid569 458962 loanpayment  "


     
  • MOBILE TOP UP  



      Send following SMS  to 9223440000  Stopup><UserId><Mpin><Service provider name of the mobile no to be topped><Mob no ><Amount>       


     Ex. "  STOPUP  kde254 458723 vodafone 9245723659 101"

     


Application Based


 
  • Canbe used through SMS or GPRS. GPRS is cheaper than SMS.


     
  • Get User ID - Send SMS " MBSREG " to
    9223440000 .  You will get a User ID and default MPIN 

     
  • Download the mobile banking application  Click   to download


     
  • Change the MPIN : click on icon SBI
    Freedom. Enter your User ID. Click on the Option .Choose Login .You will be
    prompted to change the MPIN.

     
  • Activation of your service at ATM Go to ATM and after swiping your Debit Card choose Services – Mobile Registration > Mobile Banking > Registration – Register and then give your mobile number.You will get a SMS regarding activation of your account.

  • Set your mobile phone time.

     
  • Change the communication channel to GPRS .Open SBI Freedom Application, Go to Settings > Change channel > Select GPRS.


     
  • To Get MMID for your Account. Send " MMID SBI"    to 9223440000

    5. I have done all as in above steps,
      but communication chanell is not changed(i think, & also i received a msg saying u will be confirmed when this get changed).
      when i do balance enquiry , it goes on my gprs channel
      & says like :

      reference id : 03022*******

      status Code : 951

      Result : your account is not enabled for transactions over GPRS . please go to settings and activate it.
      while i have already changed this from sms to GPRS.

      3. if you are changed the mobile no then it may help .you have to activate your older no.from older mobile no. do same process.here u can change the chanle then use new one number for mobile banking.it will work.

      Thanks for the information. I have installed and changed the MPIN through my application.
      And i unable to register my Mobile No from the SBI ATM. But already i have register my Mobile No for getting SMS. So please advice me how can i do that..

    16. I was the user of SBI freedom service. I have changed my handset. Now when I m trying to use it, the msg appears , "Your account is not enabled over GPRS, plz goto settings and change it to GPRS". whenever I tries to register for GPRS, a msg comes "Do u want to send the msg", n then comes "Msg sending failed, plz try again".....how to resolve this issue?

    28. Hai friends,, if you are using this service in android or windows based State bank freedom' application you usually get this error if you changed your default pin by doing SMS to 9223440000. So to make it correct follow steps correctly.

      1. Send SMS SFPIN your any registered or received user id and send it to 9223440000. Eg: SFPIN Abc23c

      2. You will get default MPIN.
      3.Login to state bank freedom application by entering your userid and enter this default MPIN.

      4. In settings of SBI app you will find "Enable gprs" option, click on that and enter your default mpin and click activate.. You will activated and you will get one screen message , note that if you want otherwise you will receive the same to your mobile by SMS.

      5. Follow the instructions given in that message.
      6. Open SBI app ,go to change mpin and change mpin.
      7.Go to nearest sbi atm and do your mobile number registration. If you did above steps successfully you will get " request has been accepted for future
      8. future by checking your balance in sbi app. Thnkq

    29. I recently got SBI account and mobile banking application on my mobile, in that I tried to change pin by entering old pin and new pin I entered everything correctly and I clicked confirm after that it shows processing request but nothing happened .....?
      And also I tried some option in that application like balance enquirers in that also same problem ....? What to do help me
